Trauma & C-PTSD

Relational Trauma at its most severe is called Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or C-PTSD. Most adults who suffer from this disorder were repeatedly abused in childhood, whether the abuse was sexual, physical, spiritual and/or emotional. I work from a relational, object-relations, and family systems perspective.

Depression & Anxiety

Both depression and anxiety can be debilitating. And everyone around you seems to have their advice as to what will help you. Which only makes it worse because clearly they do not understand your experience with it. I work from a depth perspective which seeks to listen to what the depression and/or anxiety might be wanting you to pay attention.

Creatives

Having a creative personality is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, you feel it all. On the other hand, well, you feel it all. How does one who is wired this way stay healthy emotionally? What more, how might you sustain the ups and downs of the industry, if that is a place you work, or hope to work?

Cross-Cultural Issues

Whether you are an immigrant, a refugee, an expat, on assignment, or you are multi-racial, a missionary kid, or simply a non-white human being, living in the United States is very challenging. And, more and more, no matter how we might identify ourselves, we face cross-cultural issues everyday. While it can be exhilarating to be able to hold a multitude of perspectives at once, it can also be exhausting, painful and disheartening.

PsychE, SacreD & Body

Here we are in the 21st century. It turns out that all 3 aspects are not only vital to our sense of well-being, but affect each other in drastic ways. How can we pay attention to all 3 aspects of our humanity in order to become more whole?
